I absolutely loved this, def a fav 2025 read! It’s unlike any other healing fic I’ve read, and I truly enjoyed every single moment.
The narrative weaves together simple, everyday moments tied to the convenience store, capturing the most heartwarming and often heart-wrenching events that subtly shift your perspective on life. It's the kind of story that sneaks up on you and leaves you thinking deeply about the world around you.
Whether it’s a something on grief, family, passion, or love, each story truly tugged at my heartstrings, and I found myself so absorbed that I didn’t even bother checking the page numbers (which, honestly, is rare for me!). Lately, I’ve found myself rushing through books, driven by an implicit sense of pressure from all the work and life obligations piling up. But this one? It had me completely hooked in the best possible way.
This book also offers a beautiful reminder that life isn’t always easy for anyone (but we're all trying somehow, in our own little ways!), and it made me think about the kind of life I want to lead. The idea of living in a senior’s community like the one in the story—where there’s mutual support and connection—suddenly seems so appealing!
I know some readers didn’t quite vibe with the convenience store manager having a fan club, finding it a little odd, but I personally loved it! It added a fun, drama-like twist that brought extra depth to the story, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Plus, it emphasized how unique the convenience store setting really is, giving the story its own special flavor.
All in all, this one truly stands out from the rest,, I’m left feeling warm and content! Definitely one to remember! :-)
